Kitchen servery fire shutters
After peoples opinion, we have  school that has shutters connected to fire alarm, as soon as alarm activates shutters drop, there is no audible warning apart from fire alarm. Is this acceptable,i personally dont like it. Is there any regs around this or is just down to risk assesment. Cheers
I usuallly see a yellow beacon with or without warning sign as well.
There is an Elison technical manual for shutter doors in the manual section. Have a look there.
If it's a serving hatch as oppose to a circulation route or doorway you don't always see them, especially if they don't drop like a guillotine.
