Update: I have now instigated a policy of PRT (Portable Receptacle Testing) testing of mugs before use.

I went to FIREX for a day specifically to bend the ears of the guys at Advanced. They gave it a bunch of large about their fancy-pants gear but I was having none of it. "I'm here about the bloody mug" I insisted. They caved in and gave me a new mug AND two packs of Advanced Top Trumps cards (panels top trumps, not mugs), and then asked me to leave.

As for Kentec, it has been suggested they might be a bit tight on the good stuff, but I've discovered otherwise.  This is a metal, screen-printed (in-house apparently) cup mat to protect the base of my new Advanced mug from getting damaged. No idea where it came from.  Wink2
