#1
hi,

A bit off-piste but can anyone shed some info on the above please.

Got a customer asking for a system and they are specifying this kit.

Thanks,
AJ

Its a UTC product and you wont get it unless your a Lenel intergrator, its closed protocol so if your client wants it you have 2 options

1 - get them to change it to something like Paxton or alternativ
2 - team up with a Lenel Intergrator to supply and commission the project for you

We are lenel agents. I myself don't know that much about it but the security boys use it a lot, we've got massive access/cctv sites for few customers. It's locked down pretty tight and you have to go on a course to use it. Couple of grand a person.

If you think Gent is restricted/expensive then don't even bother with Lenel.

Literally don't even bother lol

It is very high end stuff. Compare it to the edwards of fire systems.

its mega expensive, we looked at it but what they were expecting for training and support was ridiculous money, so we went down the Gallagher route

Reason why the training is so in depth and support etc is because they dont want lenel installed **** poor. Think of that idea against siemens and you're not far off. Some of the stuff it can do is pretty rock solid, I know we have a DVR somewhere that has like 250ish cams on it and climbing.

I used to install it all over east and west Europe for blue chip companies, very good, solid platform and easy to configure to work on a LAN.

Hi guys, thanks for the replys.

I thought as much as I’m pretty sure I came across this a couple of years ago.

Politely moved them on...
