I've never been sent South for any more courses after that, everything else has been local or distance. Maybe the FIA could come up for a wee visit?  Wink

We need to speak to Will when he is back on again there was a job going as a trainer in the FIA I was going to apply would have been interesting to fly up there to do training I am a little closer than Will I live in County Durham

Obviously he’s asking more about fire alarm manufacturer training not the optional FIA qualifications.

No manufacturers will refuse training because you’re not FIA.

The manufacturers named are unlikely to offer training on their systems especially the Gent ones.
I’m guessing you don’t work for a Gent integrator?

No, for complicated or major changes to Gent panels we had to get an engineer up from Scotshield.

We do get training from the manufacturers, but that's really on the panels themselves and not things like design or testing.
