I’m sure this has been covered before but why is it acceptable for devices to be made out of no-fire resistant materials? I.e plastic relay modules, callpoints, etc when everything else must be fire resistant?

Idea is that the device has gone into fire before it fails and melts, cable and connection integrity should last 30 mins to ensure a continuous alarm period tomalert occupants

My gripe is that we have to now install metal clad consumer units but the DNO service head is still plastic and we have been removing metal clad units over the past few years.
