Hi all.

I've a mx4 panel and they want to be able to switch cause and effect.

Basically it's one out all out but when a keyswitch is turned it changes to pulsing for 240 seconds and then evac.  Double knock all out.

Turn keyswitch off and it's back to one out all out.

I haven't looked at it yet but was wondering if anybody had any idea how it could be achieved.

Thanks in advance.

Should be simple enough using ringing styles?

Thanks in advance.

Easy enough in relevant output group:

zone 1-1000 fire ringing style o,

then add a logic statement of any fire AND  keyswitch (setup key switch as a control signal)ringing style 1 (setup style 1 phase 1  on off pulse phase 2 240 seconds then on).

then add 3rd line any 2 device fires style 0

that should be it

Just thought do you want MCP to over ride pulsing/delay? If no then change all MCPto category B fire otherwise a mcp will be treated as a double knock when the key switch is on

Thanks Mr C. Just had a look there. The only issue with what you said is that while keyswitch is on I Will have to turn off the first line ie zone 1-1000 ringing style 0

Do it the other way round. When keys witch is on, then it bypasses delay. Using RP 1 on style 0

Sorry yes you are right as Royce said swap it round the other way.

That was a deliberate mistake of course just to make sure you were awake..... well done for spotting it  Biggrin Biggrin
