Multi Zone Dialler?
#1
Morning chaps

I've been asked by a client to come up with a solution for a building that encompasses 8 x different tenant shops.
There is a restaurant, a takeaway, beauticians, spray tans etc and they regularly get false alarms, some when the premises are unoccupied (which needs further investigation)

The client wants a solution whereby each client gets contacted when their particular zone goes into fire especially in the early hours.

The current panel is a conventional firedex which needs ripped out so something new has to go in and basically he doesnt want something with 8 separate diallers so was hoping for suggestions of a dialler unit or panel that could identify an individual zone fire and contact a specific number for that zone only.

Not sure if I have described this in a way that makes sense but hopefully you get my drift!

Advanced panel and zone monitors to replace existing and then 8 relay outputs either loop or peripheral bus cards then fit a menvier sd3 which has 8 inputs and up to 10 phone numbers.
Program zones to operate relevant outputs which trigger relevant input on sd3 which In turn dials relevant phone numbers

don't kentec do an 8 zone sigma that can use an ancillary relay board to do the same as Mr C says with an SD3?
if cost is a concern, it might be an option.

Could also use Haes but it would be a painful process setting up the cause and effect!!

Been there done that mate I bet with some creativity the Advanced method could be made to look a very cost effective solution....... considering the programming would taken about 15 mins!

As above, I read the post earlier and I cant understand why diallers even get a mention anymore, they were shite back in the day.

Agreed digi air would be better but if the customer doesn’t want it to go through an ARC for whatever reason then not much choice.
At least the sd3 are dual path and They will monitor line fail etc so they are a little better than some of the old ones.
