gent xen conventional bases
#1
can anyone explain this gent xen detector base? I guess the diode is there for head removal monitoring but i can't work out why there is a resistor in parallel with the diode.... just to slow down the charge/discharge of the diode?

Gent can use caps for eol (the older stuff is a heat shrunk device that I never opened Tbh) so if you power up with no detectors fitted maybe a resistor would slow down the current reaching the eol cap?
Just a guess!
Bugger, I did isolate the dialer...didn't I?
