L5 and voids above the L5 area

Maybe a silly question...

If there is an L5/M system for example covering kitchenettes etc and afd is required in the kitchenette (for example) is afd needed in the voids above the area of risk? I presume not as the risk is in the room, not the void....

thoughts?

I'm inclined to put it in the void 22.2 d and all that but its worth asking the question back to the person who speced L5/M
