Still Problems with Sprinklers.
#1
Morning,

We are still looking for a cheaper alternative to a pump to stop mains fluctuations setting off the fire alarm.
Currently when emptying and refilling the system, any subsequent mains pressure increase sets off the alarm, usually at 2am on a sunday morning.

I have had a suggestion that a small bore pipe fitted each side of the clapper to equalize pressure would be an alternative to the pump.

Is this correct?

Would anyone be willing to do this do you think?

Thanks.

Have you adjusted the delay on the flow switch? Set a input delay up on each flow switch monitor

We used to get trouble with air bubbles movi g around causing this, would check for that.
Bugger, I did isolate the dialer...didn't I?

Agree with Royce. Stick a delay on the input to fire panel. Flow switches should have them inbuilt

Chris I'm guessing you are the Building Manager ?

Do you not have an incumbent fire alarm system service company - they should be able to handle it.

If not who ever does the work would need to know the make and model of the fire alarm system ?
