Rom checksum usually means something has unexpectedly changed in the panels memory. If it was me, I would take a download on the laptop, briefly check the programming over to make sure it's intact then upload it back into the panel. I'm not a massive fan of Kentec so I don't deal with them much. Someone on here may have some knowledge about it.

just had kentec on the phone and they seem to think the batteries are the issue. if the batteries are pulling to much current as a result of them not being able to charge correctly (still over 65% capacity) then this can cause the rom check sum fault. batteries replaced and system running normally now. will update if anything changes.

WTF ????

First time I've hear that one!

We've had similar and always turned out to be a processor issue - goes away and returns more and more frequently.

Normally end up changing the door ..........

so just an update on the problem with kentac series 600 panel showing "program memory fault- ROM checksum". as kentec suggested possible issue with batteries and/or charger well it's been 12 days now since changing the batteries and charger. viewed the panel this morning and all is well no faults no "program memory fault- ROM checksum" fingures crossed i wont have to use the new 2 loop panel i bought
