Advanced mx4000 networking
#1
Hi all, does anyone know if advanced mx4000  panels networked together supports global output disablements,  on site I have 11 nodes and if I disable all outputs on ,for example on node 1, only outputs on node 1 are disabled, I know this works with mxpro5 panels. I have enable/disable config box ticked on all nodes.

Not on the mx Pro 4.

You can add a keyswitch and add all outputs to a disablement group but to be honest, I only ever work on one panel at a time anyway so I usually pull the network then disable the outputs even on the pro 5.

Thanks Monkeh, good to know , I have tested this system for 3 quarters now but tested it node by node and never looked to see if other nodes were disabled when I disabled the node I was working on.

Only works on one panel at a time had the same problem on a large network

Just  disable outputs in level 2 then put it in level 3.....level 3 basically takes the panel off the network so wont send any cause and effect to other panels.

Easier with pro 5 as you can disable all and can disable and put in test etc
In level 3

On the pro4 depending on the firmware version you isolate outputs but they still activate on testing  Biggrin

Depends on output group programming and if you have test mode with sounders on

Was on earlier firmware if sounders were set up in any of the groups from 1 to 16 even telling the panel it is a silent test the sounders still operated

As others have said, only able to disable outputs on each node individually.

If all you are doing is servicing you can put all zones in test without sounders and no sounders will operate.
