Went to ZP3 with series 3 software this morning. Tried to download with version 3 software but could not communicate with panel.
No problem with lead or settings. This is the first series 3 I have been to.
There are jumpers for config, code and maint. Could these be the cause.

The jumpers are the write switches normally used when flashing the CPU when upgrading.

Open software. Open new project, select correct panel and S/W version.
Set port setting on ZP3
Set port setting on laptop
Connect lead and action commission key on rear of door.

You should be able to download regardless of jumper position and code. These only matter when uploading.

Late reply due to working away.

Followed the normal procedure and double checked again.

After speaking to Ziton on series 3.11 software the panel comms settings lock up after an upload and download.

You have to alter the port settings,save,reset to Zp3 and save to reset.

yep i had this prob the other day on a 3.11 could not get a dl at all using anything above 2400baud, crc errors or just would not start, took all mornin to get dl before couldeven commission, total nightmare.

Ziton (GE) have issued a datasheet highlighting this issue to agents, they say they'll address this with the next software update. Just need to reset the comms settings after upload/download as Greg describes.
Also CAE issues for double knock across network highlighted.
