Good morning all.
Have a quiery on viper network software if anyone can help.
Running on XP pro. No problem with running software but can not print reports.
I know it is a dos application but run from desktop icon.
Tried both settings for printer. Am I missing something.
Any help apprecated

I was looking at the spec for this panel (a 16 Zone) and its states that the sounder circuit output is rated at 1amp. The panel has 4 sounder circuits which are protected with resettable fuses.

Anyone know if it is 1amp overall or 1amp per each sounder circuit.

One of my lads has given me this picture to price a new panel off..... Lol,

It's a rebadged panel as its currently labelled as Grainger which is an installer over these ways

I can make out that it's running 8 zones, conventional and is using KAC call points?? Any help would be great!

Service engineer London area

Company looking for a good service engineer 2 weeks a month, may well increase to full time, may suit good subby fire engineer starting out on his own.
Good knowledge of servicing/standards required, as is a service level knowledge of most current fire alarm panels, mainly addressable systems.
Brain cells and the ability to think essentail. Smart appearance, literate and able to talk to clients also sought. As is the ability to read a panel event log, identify faults etc.

This is a company who has sites in and closely around London, SE13, SE1,NW10, NW4, W2 etc, slim chance of ever having to see the M25.

Own vehicle required, but will be days when you can park up and tube it. Own test kit a bonus but may noy be a necessity.
This company has 2 weeks work a month, but through associated companies, the potential for full time work is there.

Company is paying decent money, no commission basis, no sales required, just a good honest days work.

I have been asked to advertise on the forum and screen applications for them, so please no time wasters.

Standard for Video Smoke Detection????

Does anyone know if there is a British standard that specifically covers video smoke detection as I am unsure whether BS5839 covers the camera and software required.

Or is there a recognised standard - European or from the US - for this kit?

Changeover

I'm doing a panel changeover tomorrow.I believe I'm getting a ctec conventional in the morning.The devices fitted are old system sensor ions and something in the back of my mind is telling me they won't operate on the ctec.

Could someone shed a bit of light.Don't ask me why I think they don't work,maybe everything is getting mixed up in my brain,too much guinness at the weekend.

dunno why we all collect kit that we will never use!?!

i have filled two large commercial waste bins with stuff i am never going to use again, and still ahve so much more garbage to throw out!!

just removing spare fuses and battery leads, then it all goes in the bin!!!

oh it feels good!!!

the only other thing that is going to be a pain, is sorting what goes where and do i need this here or there????

its worse than moving house!!!!

and my broadband and new phone line wont be available till the 24th!

HI all
I need to get another of my engineers on the extinguisher course to be qualified to service and install. We are a member of BFC however there are no courses local to my area in the south east (Brighton) for months the next one i can find is at the FIA end of this month does any one know of althernative options or has been on the FIA course. Is the FIA corse any good?
